At Community of Faith, service is a core value. This is fundamental to who we are. It is part of our ministry DNA. We serve everyone with compassion and kindness because we recognize the image of God in all humans and by our actions, we demonstrate our faith, year over year over year.
We are all called to be a part of what God is doing in the world -- individuals and communities, young and old, families, friends and neighbors working together to alleviate suffering, hunger, violence, and brokenness wherever we are and wherever we see it happening. We can all make a difference!
As a church we have three priorities where we feel uniquely called to make a difference as a community:
1. Ending hunger and addressing food insecurity.
2. Healing hurt, promoting pride, and ending discrimination of the LGBTQ+ Community.
3. Alleviating suffering and to serve as a source of help and hope during times of crisis and natural disasters.
During the Summer 2024, we invited folks to save their change and bring back their donation on Serve Sunday, September 1, for Society of Saint Andrews (SOSA). We met our goal and raised $539.50 in order to provide fruits and vegetables to three families for an entire year.
