BREAKING THE ICE
How has a particular story influenced your life - perhaps a movie, a book or something that you witnessed personally.
REFLECTION
In John 9, Jesus encounters a man blind from birth. The disciples ask a theological question—“Who sinned?”—but Jesus redirects their gaze. This man’s condition isn’t about blame; it’s about revealing the works of God. With mud and mercy, Jesus heals him. And suddenly, the man who once sat in shadows walks in light.
What’s striking is not just the miracle, but the man’s response. He doesn’t have all the answers. He doesn’t know where Jesus went. But he knows what happened to him. “I am the man,” he says. “I went, I washed, and now I see.”
That’s the power of a healing story. It doesn’t require theological precision or perfect clarity. It just requires honesty. Courage. A willingness to say, “This is what God did for me.”
Each of us has a moment—maybe quiet, maybe dramatic—where light broke through. Where Jesus met us in the darkness and offered us a way to see more clearly. And like the man in John 9, our testimony can be simple but profound: “I was blind, and now I see.”
So, how will you tell your story? Not just the polished version, but the real one. The one that says, “I didn’t know everything, but I knew I was changed.” Because someone out there is still sitting by the roadside, waiting to hear that healing is possible.
