Rob Vaughn is passionate about serving God with all of one's heart, soul and mind. Grateful to be able to serve a church with a heart for serving the community, Rob has been one of COF's pastors since 1998 having previously served churches in Springfield, Alexandria, Richmond and Tidewater. Educated at Randolph-Macon College, Wesley Theological Seminary, UVA, and at the University of Pennsylvania where Rob earned a Ph.D. in sexuality education (a joint program in the School of Education, Marriage & Family Counseling, and medical school), Rob also teaches for the United Methodist connection in the arena of sexual ethics and every few years at Randolph-Macon College and Wesley Theological Seminary. Rob was elected as a delegate from Virginia to the denomination's 2016 & 2019 General Conferences and also serves on the General Board of Church & Society.
When not at COF, Rob enjoys flying airplanes, kayaking, eating BBQ and volunteering as a paramedic in Loudoun County.

Mary Ann East has spent most of her life in the Washington DC Metro area. She has proven herself a talented performer, conductor, and teacher. Upon graduation from Indiana University School of Music with a Bachelor of Music Education degree, Mary Ann returned to teach for Fairfax County Public Schools as a general music teacher and choral director. Her choirs consistently earned Superior and Excellent ratings in festivals and competitions.
While teaching, she completed two Masters of Music degrees, (Choral Conducting & Vocal Performance) at George Mason University. After completing her MM degrees in 2005 Mary Ann joined the faculty of GMU conducting the Women's Chorale and teaching a music education course.
Mary Ann also has experience as a church musician, as soloist and cantor in several DC area churches and as Director of Music Ministry at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Reston (VA) from 2006-2012. Ms. East revived the choir at UUCR, began a handbell choir in 2008, and facilitated the church band. She is a UUA Credentialed Music Leader, graduating with the second class.
Ms. East founded Capital Harmonia in January 2013. This new community women's chorus will be performing around the DC Metro region througout the year. To learn more visit Capital Harmonia's website.

Kelli Timanus serves Children's Coordinator at Community of Faith. Having worked as a public school teacher and staff as well as a homeschool educator, she been a blessing to children of all ages. At CoF, Kelli is primarily responsible for coordinating programs and volunteers for children ages PreK-upper elementary school.
A native of Minnesota, Kelli enjoys reading, learning new things and exploring the NOVA and DC area with her husband and son.
With a graduate degree in early childhood education, children are in great hands when they hang out in the nursery on Sunday mornings. Miyo has been a part of COF's staff since 2008 and her family are active participants in the life of the community.
Managing the organized chaos of a church office, Di has been a part of COF's staff since 2000. Before coming to Virginia in 1983, Di spent time in New York and southern California and before joining our staff, Di worked in the administrative side of construction management
Eric grew up in Central Pennsylvania and has served in numerous ministries in both PA and Northern Virginia. He graduated in 2015 from Messiah College with a BA in Biblical and Religious Studies, with a concentration in Youth Ministry. This fall, Eric is starting his Masters of Divinity degree at Wesley Theological Seminary, in the hopes of being ordained within the United Methodist Church.
Eric Snader’s core beliefs surrounding Youth Ministry is as follows. Ministry TO Youth, Ministry WITH Youth, and Ministry Through Youth. Not only does Eric seek to build relationships with Youth, helping them to see their own strengths, gifts, talents, and Identity which God formed them into, but he also desires to partner with youth in ministry, encouraging them to use those gifts and strengths to go out and be the hands and feet of Christ; to be true disciples.
Eric’s hobbies are as follows (but not limited to)… watching/playing Soccer, (His favorite team being Chelsea FC), playing games, drinking coffee, listening to/reading theological “stuff”, and traveling. But above all, Eric loves sharing in other people’s passions and sharing his passions with others!
Dr Nam joined our music team a worship accompanist for the 10:30 service in September 2017. She is on the faculty at George Mason University and instructs in Northern Virginia. A world class pianist, we are blessed each Sunday with her music gifts.
